A previously lost sleaze masterpiece, chock full of lesbianism, whippings, and black magic. This is Italian gore at its cheesiest best, with gothic 70's atmosphere galore. A man who seeks help for an injured woman at a gothic castle finds it inhabited with his and her "darker" halves. An unexpectedly compelling and unsettling film that has unfortunately been buried in a vault since its disastrous Italian theatrical release back in 1974 when it was seen by a paltry 500-odd moviegoers. It has since developed a sort of cult "must-see" status amongst collectors of Italian horror films, making this REDEMPTION video release a most welcome addition to their ever growing catalog of Euro horror.
This is of course the complete UNCUT version of the film. The VHS release has the English audio track only but the DVD video release has both the English audio track and the original Italian audio track. The DVD video also has selectable English subtitles, so if you wish to watch it in the original Italian you can turn the subtitles on. Both the VHS and DVD video releases are presented in the WIDESCREEN format with an aspect ratio of approximately 2.35:1
